This was a minor (mini) project done in my UG academics on 2022 and it was a 4 membered group project. In this project, me and my team used motor bike suspension where a metal strip's one end is connected to the suspension spring and the other end is connected to the rack & pinion gear where the pinion is attached with a dynamo. whenever the suspension moves, the pinion rotates which also rotates the dynamo attached with it, which creates electricity. And that energy stored in the battery.
This project idea was good. but unfortunately, the metal strip got broken into two pieces due to high suspension rates (riding over pits and uneven surfaces) and also low-strength material (metal strip). We can overcome this problem by changing the material of the strip and also positioning the strip end at a different movable part of the suspension.
